Agree a date send out Save the Date cards
Agree a budget (who’s paying what)Style of ceremonyNumber of guestsBook ceremony & reception venueBook CatererAppoint chief attendantsBook photographer/videographerArrange wedding insurancePHEW! Thats the bulk of it out of the way, you want to book these as soon as possible as these are booked upto 2yrs in advance, so you need to co-ordinate them all
First 3 steps to getting started
Step 1
Organised your budget, who is paying what, will parents pay for a photgrapher, bridesmaids pay for thier own dresses. There is a great Planning your wedding book out by Confetti that may help you out…if you dont want to spend out, keep checking our blogs for advice and tips and the next steps! Spread the cost by letting friends and family help you out. (click to go to book)
Step 2
Decide on the amount of guests that will be attending each part of the day, will you have everyone come to the ceromony, then a few people to a sit down meal, or is it everyone all day. This is what is going to determine how you plan your venues, all venues have a limit on numbers. So get your numbers ready.
Step 3Agreeing a date is going to depend on the ceremony venue and the reception venue. These need to be co-ordinated together. so get a few dates in mind before approaching both venues so you can co-ordinate both at the same time. If you want a specific date, you may need to be planning 18mths in advance, or be adapatable with your venues.
